JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for operating equipment and performing manual labor in support of the department.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Operates a variety of equipment in the maintenance of park facilities, including lawnmowers, tractors, and dump trucks
Drags, lines, and prepares the surface of athletic fields; aerates and overseeds athletic fields; constructs pitching mounds on baseball fields; constructs boat docks and boat ramps; constructs prefabricated buildings and shelters; maintains volleyball courts and in-line hockey field
Cleans restrooms, paints restrooms, shelters, and park structures
Repairs and maintains playground equipment; repairs fences; installs signs
Builds concrete forms; pour concrete; digs holes and trenches; shovels materials
Assists with the set up and clean-up of special events; assists with the seasonal preparation of equipment and facilities
Operates a lawnmower and weed eater
Performs other related duties as assigned
