An officer with the Hendersonville Police Department has been recognized for helping save a woman’s life during a medical emergency in Hendersonville.
Police said Officer Witte responded to a call involving a woman in cardiac arrest and quickly checked for a pulse before beginning CPR and chest compressions. Her actions helped keep the patient alive until medical crews arrived and transported the woman to a hospital, where she survived and was listed in critical condition.
The department awarded Witte its Lifesaver Award in recognition of her quick response and life-saving efforts during the emergency.
