The City of Hendersonville has approved a site plan for a new commercial development at 120 Sanders Ferry Road, bringing additional retail and office space to the area.
City officials said the project will also support planned improvements to Sanders Ferry Road, which were outlined in the city’s 10-Year Transportation and Capital Improvement Plan adopted last year. The development is expected to help jumpstart these infrastructure upgrades.
The parcel is currently zoned “General Commercial,” following a 2023 zoning change that removed residential allowances and limited the site to commercial use. Officials noted that commercial development will place less strain on city infrastructure compared with potential residential projects, while providing new job and retail opportunities for the community.
