Gift Card Tampering Suspect Arrested in Hendersonville

On November 25, 2024, the Hendersonville Police Department was notified of a subject that had tampered with gift cards at Publix in Hendersonville. The subject’s vehicle was identified by License Plate Readers and the information was sent out to surrounding agencies. Within a short time, Spring Hill Police Department located the vehicle and arrested Lin Jiang (43) for outstanding warrants out of Texas.

Numerous items related to their fraud scheme were seized that suggested that the subjects were committing similar acts as they travelled across the U.S. from California. Additional investigation is underway to identify other incident locations and suspects who may be involved.

Charges were obtained by the Hendersonville Police Department on Jiang for 10 Counts of Criminal Simulation. Additional charges are anticipated.
