Wreaths Across America returns to Gallatin for the thirteenth year at the Gallatin City Cemetery Saturday, December 13 at 10 a.m. The public is invited to help place 600 wreaths on the burial sites of Veterans after a short service.

“Honoring the men and women who served our country is one of Gallatin’s most meaningful traditions,” said Gallatin Mayor Paige Brown, who will serve as the event’s host, This ceremony reminds us of the service, sacrifice, and legacy we are entrusted to uphold.”

In preparation for the event, volunteers placed flags on graves in the Gallatin City Cemetery marking those who had served in any branch of service from the Revolutionary War to present-day conflicts. The following groups participated in identifying Veterans in the cemetery: Cub Scout Packs 425 and 426 and Boy Scout Troops 425 and 407.

Gallatin will stand alongside more than two million volunteers and supporters at over 5,200 participating locations across all 50 states, at sea, and abroad. This year’s national message, “Keep Moving Forward,” will be highlighted during the event.

As Executive Director Karen Worcester notes:
“There will always be challenges to overcome as individuals, communities, and as a country, but we must keep moving forward together.”
