The City of Gallatin will honor Chief Warrant Officer 3 Danny Randolph of the Tennessee National Guard with the dedication of the Danny Randolph Memorial Mile on Albert Gallatin Road.
The ceremony will take place at 10 a.m. on Thursday, August 7, in the upper parking lot of the Gallatin Civic Center, located at 210 Albert Gallatin Avenue. Friends, family, and community members are invited to attend. In honor of Randolph, attendees are encouraged to wear red and black—his favorite colors.
Danny Randolph was a 13-year veteran and decorated Blackhawk pilot with the 1-230th Assault Helicopter Battalion. He was tragically killed in a helicopter crash in Huntsville, Alabama, on February 15, 2023.
A Gallatin High School graduate, Randolph pursued his lifelong dream of becoming a pilot through the Aerospace program at Middle Tennessee State University and flight school at Fort Rucker, Alabama.
He is survived by his parents, Chester and Patricia, wife Melissa, and children Edmond, Laine, Kori, Barrett, Avery, and Everett. His mother, Patricia, worked in Gallatin’s Finance Department for 17 years.
Randolph’s commitment to service extended beyond combat roles. He volunteered for multiple emergency missions, including hurricane relief, wildfire response, and COVID-19 support efforts—delivering supplies to his hometown of Gallatin among them.
His service earned him numerous honors, including the Army Achievement Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster, Armed Forces Service Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal, NATO Medal, Air Assault Badge, Aviator Badge, and several awards from the Tennessee National Guard and other state organizations.
The memorial mile dedication serves as a lasting tribute to CW3 Randolph’s courage, dedication, and love for his community and country.
