On January 3, 2026, the Gallatin Police Department responded to a reported robbery at an ATM location after a call was made by Marissa Hoesch claiming she had been robbed.

Officers responded immediately and treated the call as a legitimate and serious criminal incident, deploying multiple department resources in an effort to locate the reported suspect, including K-9 units and aerial drone support. After a thorough investigation, it was determined that no robbery had occurred and the report was false.

The Gallatin Police Department takes all calls for service seriously, particularly those involving violent crime. While Gallatin remains a safe community, false reports divert valuable resources away from real emergencies and place unnecessary strain on personnel and equipment.

As a result of this investigation, Marissa Hoesch has been arrested for filing a false report. The Gallatin Police Department does not tolerate false reporting of crimes.

Anyone with information related to this incident or any other incident is urged to contact the Gallatin Police Department at 615-452-1313
