A summer job opportunity is opening up in Gallatin for those interested in working at the local pool.
Gallatin Parks and Recreation is accepting applications for seasonal lifeguards at the Civic Center. Officials say applicants must be certified in lifeguarding, CPR, AED, and first aid, and be able to demonstrate those skills.
Candidates must be at least 15 years old, pass a drug screening, and, if 18 or older, complete a background check. Evening and weekend availability is also required.
The position offers pay ranging from $13 to $16 per hour, depending on qualifications. Interested applicants are encouraged to apply through the city’s website.
