The City of Gallatin, Meta’s Gallatin Data Center, and the Gallatin Area Chamber of Commerce announce the kick-off of ConnectGallatin.com, a new free public Wi-Fi network in Gallatin’s historic downtown. This initiative enhances connectivity for residents, businesses, and visitors, reinforcing Gallatin’s commitment to innovation and accessibility.

To celebrate this milestone, Square Search – a family-fun scavenger hunt – will take place on Saturday, March 15, from 10 AM to noon at The Station, located at 117 Main Street. Participants complete the scavenger hunt by collecting hidden treasures using provided clues for a chance to win door prizes, including a $200 gift card and locally made products.

“Downtown Gallatin is the heart of our community, and this new free Wi-Fi service ensures that everyone, whether working, shopping, or visiting, can stay connected,” said Gallatin Mayor Paige Brown. “This project is a testament to the power of collaboration and the importance of investing in smart infrastructure.”

A key feature of this project includes the installation of an outdoor interactive information kiosk outside the Chamber. The kiosk will serve as a digital guide, helping users locate shops around the square, take self-guided walking tours, and discover the city’s rich historic sites.

“The interactive kiosk and mobile app are game-changers for our community—connecting residents, visitors, and businesses like never before,” said Kim Baker, President and CEO of the Gallatin Area Chamber. “Whether you’re exploring local hotspots, finding resources, or engaging with community events, this technology puts Gallatin at your fingertips. It’s about accessibility, innovation, and strengthening our local connections in a way that makes doing business and experiencing our city even easier.”

The ConnectGallatin.com initiative is made possible by a generous $140,000 grant from Meta.

“At Meta, we are proud to support projects that help us build stronger, more connected communities – including this initiative to bring free Wi-Fi to the heart of downtown Gallatin,” said Tara Tenorio, community development manager for Meta’s Gallatin Data Center. “Through this initiative, as well as the digital kiosk, we are excited to see both residents and tourists discover even more about Gallatin’s special town square.”
