The /steve-wariner-to-debut-solo-art-exhibit-at-monthaven-arts-and-cultural-center/(MACC) in Hendersonville will celebrate America’s 250th anniversary with its Eighth Annual Veterans Art Exhibition, For the Love of Liberty, running August 2 through September 6, 2026. The exhibit features work from some of the nation’s most celebrated living artists, including Tim Yanke’s American flag paintings and state jackets by acclaimed fashion designer Manuel honoring the original 13 colonies. The exhibition is presented in partnership with the Park West Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Park West Gallery, which has supported MACC’s exhibitions and veterans programming for nearly a decade.
Since 2016, the Foundation’s backing has helped MACC host major exhibitions, public artist talks, and educational masterclasses, giving local art lovers the chance to meet artists directly and take part in community workshops. Past collaborations have brought work by internationally known artists to the Nashville area, including Salvador Dalí, Mark Kostabi, Autumn de Forest, David “Lebo” LeBatard, Alexandre Renoir, and Tim Yanke.
Funds raised through the partnership support MACC’s veterans programs, including its Between the Lines healing arts program. The free program serves veterans, adults, teens, and children coping with PTSD, traumatic brain injury, and other mental health challenges.

Joining Yanke in the exhibition is Gallatin-based artist Don Olea, who was the featured artist for MACC’s 7th Annual Veterans Art Exhibition and will display new work celebrating the nation’s founding. Veterans enrolled in the Between the Lines program will also showcase their own art in a companion exhibit titled I Didn’t Know How to Tell You.
Yanke’s contribution includes a curated collection of flag paintings he calls “Yanke Doodles,” created in the wake of 9/11. The works reimagine the American flag in non-traditional colors representing the many cultures and communities that call the country home. Several pieces incorporate a Vietnam service ribbon, a tribute to veterans of that war. For the Love of Liberty will feature these paintings alongside other Yanke works marking America’s 250th anniversary.
