Folk n’ Bluegrass Fest to Take Place at Historic Rock Castle in September

Folk 'n Bluegrass Fest

On Saturday, September 10, this year’s Folk n’ Bluegrass Fest at Historic Rock Castle on Old Hickory Lake will be part of a day full of living history presentations and community-centered fun on the grounds of the historic home. Living history events will begin at 10:00 a.m. and end at 8:00 p.m. On the Main Stage an assortment of folk and bluegrass performances will perform through the evening. Doors open at 3:30 p.m. with performances beginning at 4:00 p.m.

General Admission tickets to The Folk ‘n Bluegrass Fest will provide access to a historic encampment with costumed reenactors and activities for kids like bounce houses, and a series of tournaments for corn hole and inflatable ax-throwing, as well as sack races.

There will be local food trucks and concessions. Vendors include Mojo’s Tacos, Kona Ice of Madison, and Half Batch Brewing.

A special over-21 catered luncheon called “Fire in the Woods” will feature exclusive performances by The Woods Band and Fireball Mail. There is an additional charge for this event which takes place in the Rock Castle Woods.

Half Batch Brewing is the Presenting Sponsor of an additional adult event, the Halfter Party.  This is a specially ticketed Beer Garden featuring exclusive performances by East Nash Grass and the Theo and Brenna Band. Immediately after the main Folk ‘n Bluegrass Fest concludes at 9:00 p.m., the Halfter Party will take place in the whimsical Rock Castle Woodlands.

General Admission to the Folk ‘n Bluegrass Fest is $10 per person. Fire in the Woods tickets are $50 each and include general admission to the Fest. Halfter Party tickets are $30 each and also include general admission.
