Age 52 of Cross Plains went home to be with the Lord Saturday, June 5, 2021 at her home. She was born August 16, 1968 in Elgin, Illinois to Emmett Michael & Dorothy Evelyn Sturgis Casey. She worked as a Beauty Consultant for Facial 5 and was a member of United Church in Gallatin, TN. Dawn loved the Lord and valiantly fought to live, battling cancer with such a positive attitude and such bravery. She is loved by so many friends and family and was someone you felt an immediate attraction to when you met her. She is preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Nelon. She is survived by her loving husband and caregiver, Steven Holloway, Cross Plains, TN; son, Casey Simmons, Hendersonville, TN; daughter, Courtney (Brandon) Hall, Hernando, MS; father, Mike Casey, Mountain Home, AR; brother, Tommy (Connie) Keathley, Marion, AR; sisters, Lori (Terry) Armstrong, Memphis, TN and Kim (David) Peters, Hamburg, AR; two grandchildren, Elouise and Bridger. Funeral service is scheduled for Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at 1 pm in the chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Home in White House with Pastor Dan Smith officiating. Interment will follow on Thursday, June 10, 2021 at Crittenden Memorial Park in Marion, AR at 1 pm (Time to be confirmed Monday AM) with Tommy Keathley, Brandon Hall, Kee Helton, Richard Simmons, Cory Mickelson, and Frank Long serving as pallbearers. Visitation with the family is planned for Tuesday, June 8, 2021 4-9 pm, and Wednesday, June 9, 2021 11 am until the time of the service at the funeral home. Friends are asked to bring a decorative headband to the visitation or to the service to be donated to cancer patients who lose their hair during chemo treatments.
