The City of Gallatin is seeking applicants for an Equipment Operator I position within its Public Works/Streets Department.
City officials say the role involves supporting infrastructure projects throughout Gallatin, including road maintenance, drainage system installation, asphalt repairs, concrete work and right-of-way clearing. The position also requires operating heavy machinery such as dump trucks, loaders and backhoes.
Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of recent experience in installation, concrete or asphalt work. A valid driver’s license with a Class B CDL is required, with a Class A-57 preferred.
