Gallatin Police are encouraging residents to take part in their upcoming Citizens Police Academy, an interactive program designed to give community members an inside look at local law enforcement.
The academy will run on Mondays from March 16 through May 11, 2026. Participants will meet officers, tour various units, and learn how different divisions work to serve the Gallatin community.
The curriculum covers a wide range of topics, including the Patrol Division, Criminal Investigations, the Emergency Response Team, Crisis Negotiations, the K9 Division, Boat Patrol, Emergency Communications, Crime Scene Processing, Narcotics Investigations, traffic stops, crash investigations, and other specialized areas.
Officials say the program offers a chance for residents to connect with officers, learn how the department operates, and gain a deeper understanding of public safety efforts.
