A holiday event celebrating history, art, and seasonal traditions is planned this weekend at one of Gallatin’s historic landmarks.

Christmas at Historic Stonewall will take place Saturday, Dec. 20, from noon to 4 p.m. at the Stonewall home, located at 332 East Main Street. The event offers visitors a chance to experience the historic property decorated for the season while learning more about its past and the people connected to it.

Sumner County Historian Kenneth Thomson will be on site sharing stories that bring Stonewall’s history to life. Guests can also meet artist David Wright, who will sign copies of his new book, Historian with a Brush, and answer questions about his work. In addition, Mike and Sarah of Apple & Dove will discuss the history and meaning behind traditional holiday florals and will have festive arrangements available for purchase.

Admission is $5 for museum association members and $10 for non-members. Light refreshments are included, and all proceeds will benefit preservation efforts for the historic home.

Tickets are available here.
