Charlotte Sue “Susie” Boze, age 77 of Castalian Springs, passed away Monday, May 31, 2021. Visitation will be Thursday, June 3rd from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Family Heritage Funeral Home. There will be a Private Family Graveside Service at Defeated Cemetery and Memorial Gardens, with family honoring her as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, 478 Craighead Street #200, Nashville, TN 37204.
Mrs. Boze was born August 4, 1943 in Harrisburg, PA to the late Charles West and Mary Ruth Heifner West. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband, Billy Joe Boze; son-in-law, Frank Teeples, and grandson, Joey Boze. She is survived by sons, Eddie Boze (Carla) of Cottontown, Billy Boze of Castalian Springs, and Stephen Boze of Castalian Springs; daughter, Debbie Teeples of Castalian Springs; brothers, David Meikrantz (Lou) of New Johnsonville and Dennis Meikrantz of Goodlettsville; sisters, Cathy Carson (Jimmy) of Mt. Juliet and Charles West of Chambersburg, PA; and 9 grandchildren, Jordan Boze, Jason Teeples, Jennifer Porter (Jamie), Mandi Boze, Nikki Boze, Derek Boze (Lacy), Stephanie Michelle Legge (Blake), Grace Marie Collins (Kyle), and Kalena Newman; and 7 great-grandchildren, Hannah Marie Dyer, Kenzie Dyer, Cashton Boze, SaNiah Boze, Jadean Maylen, Aubrey Boze, and Mercy Grace Collins. Mrs. Boze had an extensive career in student transportation working for the Sumner County Board of Education for 8 years; retiring from Service America after 20 years of service, and finally retiring from the Sumner County Board of Education as a Special Needs Driver after 15 years of service.
