A Special Father’s Day Event on Sunday, June 20, 2021 from 1 PM – 5 PM at the Monthaven Arts & Cultural Center, Hendersonville.
From helicopters to watercolors and canvas, VIETNAM: 2 SOLDIERS, 2 ARTISTS, 2 JOURNEYS THEN & NOW is the story of two brave soldiers who battled their way into the world of art; trading the tools of war for the tools of the trade.
Spend an exciting afternoon touring this exhibition and having the opportunity to talk to the artists about their experiences and where they are today, over 50 years later. But that’s not all! Take a ride on an authentic Huey and have a beer (after all, you won’t be driving)!
The featured Huey N98F was in Vietnam from 1962 to 1971, and has since been in films such as Die Hard, Baywatch, and many, many more!
It all comes together in this exhilarating and meaningful show, one that bridges two lives, two worlds, two journeys. Join us in this celebration of these two talented men that returned from war to pick up their lives and continue their journey for the ultimate symbol of peace… art.
The exhibition continues through August 1st, 2021.
