A broken utility pole caused a power outage that has left around 760 Cumberland Electric Membership Corporation (CEMC) members without electricity in the White House area.
CEMC crews responded quickly and are working to isolate the affected area to restore service to most customers within the next few hours. Once power is restored to the majority, crews will continue replacing the damaged pole — a process that officials say takes time but is being handled as safely and efficiently as possible.
City officials thanked residents for their patience and understanding as the CEMC team continues restoration efforts.
