June 24, 2025 – On June 23, 2025, the Hendersonville Police Department was notified of anonymous threats of a mass shooting that had been sent to Wal-Mart at 204 N. Anderson Ln. The Hendersonville Police Department and Tennessee Office of Homeland Security began investigating the matter and determined that Patrick Michael Ehringer (37) was the subject responsible. Ehringer’s threats were related to a failed relationship and were intended to harass an employee at the store.
Ehringer was interviewed by investigators and was subsequently charged with False Reports. Ehringer was taken into custody for the incident and transported to Sumner County Jail. Court was set for 7-9-25 in Sumner County General Sessions. Bond was set for $200,000.
