Mrs. Doris Mae Garis of Gallatin, Tennessee passed away on Tuesday, September 27, 2022, she was 95 years old.
She was born January 2, 1927 in Gowen, OK to the late Patrick and Mae Leamy.
Along with her parents, Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Garis, two brothers, Clarence and Hubert Leamy, two sisters, Juanita Coffin and Vernell Juneac and infant grandson Kevin Garis.
Doris is survived by son and daughter-in-law Don and Pat Garis; three grandchildren and spouses, Jeff and Diana Garis, Rebecca and Kevin Hall and Megan and Chris Sullivan. Also, eight great-grandchildren, Emma and Adam Schooley, Andy and Blake Foote, Abi Hall, Hudson, Emerie and Tessa Sullivan.
Also, Doris is survived by brother Pat Leamy; sister-in-law Joan Leamy and Doris Garis and brother-in-law Troy and Roy Garis.
Doris was never happier than when she was cooking for a large crowd around the holidays. And what a wonderful cook she was. She was also known for her sweet smile.
Funeral service will be held on October 5, 2022 at 11 a.m. from the chapel of Brumley-Mills Funeral Home.
