Clara Sue Casteel of Portland, Tennessee passed away on Monday, August 1, 2022, She was 77 years old.
Ms. Casteel was born October 10, 1945 in Sumner County to the late Carl Casteel and Clara Bell McCloud Casteel.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by grandson, Alex Roberts, brother, Roy Lester Casteel; sisters, Lois Dorris and Brenda Latimer; and father of her children, James Larry Key.
She is survived by daughters, Sharron Denise Terry (Herbert) of Portland and Lee Ann Whitaker (Kenny) of Gallatin; sisters, Lila Chaffin (Jimmy) of Gallatin and Carolyn Draper of Gallatin; 4 grandchildren, Chris Sparks (Aimee), Kara Lyle (Aaron), Justin Whitaker, and Tim Whitaker; and 5 great-grandchildren, Kai Sparks, Alyssa Sparks, Jake Ryan Sparks, Tracy Alexander Lyle, and Elizabeth Jane Lyle.
Funeral Service will be Thursday, August 4th at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Sellars Family Heritage at Gallatin, with Bro. Stephen Russell officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 3rd from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. and Thursday, August 4th from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow the service at Bush’s Chapel Cemetery, with Justin Whitaker, Tim Whitaker, Jackie Latimer, Roy Dorris, Kenny Chaffin, and Ryan Dorris serving as pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers are Chris Sparks, Kai Sparks, and Jim Chaffin.
