Shirley Marie “Granny” Morton, age 85, passed away peacefully with family by her bedside on Saturday, June 25th, 2022.

Granny as she was affectionately called was born to the late William and Lola Harrison on July 30th, 1936. When Granny was called to heaven God said Well done and Welcome Home.

Granny was a Christian and had unconditional love for everyone. Granny was caring, fun, beautiful, hardworking, sassy and one classy lady. Granny’s world was her family and she made sure everybody was always taken care of as she gave of herself so selflessly.

Granny retired from General Electric and worked part-time as a Caregiver at Park Place in Hendersonville for several years after that. Granny always cared for others and never met a stranger.

Granny loved cooking for her family, country music, dancing, planting flowers and taking care of her home.

She is preceded in death by son Kenneth Morton, daughter Marsha Conyer, grandson Jody Conyer, brothers Paul Harrison, William ‘Bud’ Harrison, and sister Frances Mccord.

She is survived by her beloved daughter and compassionate caregiver Jeannie (Jimmy) Wade, beloved daughter Judy (John) Arrington, beloved son Jerry Morton, beloved great-grandson and compassionate caregiver Tommy Forbes, brother Charlie (Polly) Harrison, granddaughters Mandy (Duane) Payne, Logan Gentry, Courtney (John) Krumsiek, Audrey Tripp, grandson JT (Neko) Tripp. Great-grandchildren Greg (Erin) Forbes Jr., Brayden Richmond, Katelynn (Matthew) Conyer, Trenton Conyer, Alaina Olsen, Leona Krumsiek, Kershaw Krumsiek, Torrance Krumsiek, and Xander Tripp. Great-great-grandchildren Aubri Rodriguez, Jaxon Andrews, Rhett Forbes, Gracyn Forbes, Bretlee Bostick, Paislynn Bostick, Blakelynn Bostick. Granny was also survived by several beautiful nieces and nephews.
