6 Fall Festivals to Celebrate Cooler Weather

After a long and hot Summer, cooler days are on the way with plenty of fun activities for the entire family. There will be plenty of fine crafts, great food, and eclectic entertainment. Events begin at the end of September with the majority happening in October. Here is a list of six fall festivals, events and activities to keep everyone in Sumner County’s weekends filled with lots to do.

Time: 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. 

Come to the annual fall festival. There will be a silent auction, yard sale, free kid zone, cruise-in, barbecue, music and more. Like last year the silent auction will include a wide range of items, from homemade cakes to jewelry to clothing to home goods to activities. And there are sure to be lots of treasures in the yard sale.

Main Street Festival

Main Street Festival began in 1998 under the direction of Greater Gallatin, Inc. The event offers crafts, non-profit and commercial booths; live music performances on two stages; food vendors; and a children’s area. Over the years the festival has grown to more than 200 vendors. and in excess of 25,000 people. It takes place rain or shine.

One of Monthaven Arts and Cultural Center’s most popular events, Artoberfest offers arts and crafts for the kids, authentic German food and beer for adults, and great music for everyone. Highlights include the Kids Arts and Crafts Pavilion, where children can engage in such fun activities as pumpkin painting, face painting and more. A storyteller and caricature artist add to the overall festivities.

This inaugural Fall Pet Adoption Event will help local shelter animals find their forever homes. Come meet adorable pets, enjoying festive activities, and supporting our community shelter. Participation will help them make a difference together – one pet at a time!

Fall Festival and Chili Cook-Off

Small Wonders Farm

Come to Small Wonders Farm’s Second Annual Fall Festival and Chili Cook-Off. The event will include vendors, food trucks, games, and of course their Chili Cook-Off and Golden Ladle Award. There will be pony rides and petting zoo and access to their bamboo trail. The farm is five acres full of small wonders that hosts day camps, social gatherings and farm visits. Free parking.
