Deputies responding to a suspicious incident on Thursday found 17 stolen firearms hidden inside a home. The weapons were in the possession of Charles Winans, who is legally prohibited from owning any due to a prior conviction for discharging a firearm or missile into an occupied building.
Investigators say the firearms were concealed inside the house, including beneath clothing. All weapons were recovered without incident, and Winans was taken into custody.
He now faces multiple charges related to illegal possession of firearms.
Authorities are reminding convicted felons that they are not allowed to possess any guns.
